One Step Forward...

Hello, Readers All,

As threatened or promised, I’m edging back into some online writing with five weeks left of being a worker among workers. In preparation for the leap back into “real” writing, I blew $16 to purchase a copy of my own book from Barnes & Noble. Apparently, it’s possible to buy a paperback copy of “Plague Year New York” from their website.

We’ll see what arrives by post tomorrow or the next day.

One of the things I had already done was upload another copy of the text of the book with all those unhelpful little links removed. I’ll be curious to see if the copy I receive is the one sans links.

One thing it will definitely lack is the jacket blurb provided by Ian Young, Canadian poet and founder of the first gay publishing house in Canada:

Since you’re here reading this - and unless you decide to ditch this whole endeavor and unsubscribe - you’ll have a first row seat to how my next iteration as a full time writer unfolds. Sit tight!

In the meantime, I’m slowly working on this and that on Medium with an eye towards earning the required $10 a month to ensure payment each month (I’m up to $6.31 so far for August).

Voila!

You get to say that because of feminists

That is disregarded speech…or maybe it used to be (shhhhhh)

There we are. Another bit of this and that and, yes, the hat’s by the door with the requisite appreciation.

Thank you a hundred thousand more times for sticking it out through the years (yes, years!) of this whatever it is that I keep doing.

All tacked together ruminations and stunningly stitched collaborations are welcome at: Remington.write@gmail.com

Back to it!
