Oh, let's go there!
Hello, Readers All!
Ok, so we got everything west of the Mississippi burning to the ground and everything east of it flooding. Time to go off the deep end. Death (clearly, I've got my groove back after our trip).
91 degrees by 11am and where were we last week? Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx to pay our respects to Dorothy Parker who finally got a proper burial.

But even in the midst of it all, there's still time and reason to celebrate the craziest shit. I should note that when we got to Reno that evening in 2013, there was a massively gorgeous sunset....thanks to the then-record wildfires raging through California and Nevada.

And before anyone gets any whacky ideas about personal freedom, allow me to shut that nonsense down right this minute.

Returning to our evergreen theme: Death. Here's my entire collection of fictional obituaries, a daily writing project I set for myself in January 2020 (couldn't do anything like that now, could you?!).

And just to prove I can be consistent when I want to be, here's AleXander's evocative take on our day among the dead last week:

There we are. Another week of wandering our corner of the world and then writing about it.
And just to do the very thing I HATE to read others doing: we're up to THREE paid subscribers here at the little newsletter that shouldn't. But does.
If that's something you'd like to do, there's a subtle little blue link at the bottom of this email. It's confusing when you select it because it gives you the option of subscribing, but hey, you're already a subscriber. Keep going. Oh, and you might want to change that subscription amount to something more reasonable than $500 (or not...you do you).
Oh, right. Hat by the door. And special thanks to those dropping coins in that hat because skinny days are coming and you are awesome!
https://ko-fi.com/remingtonwriteWith that, I'm now ready to accept all corny puns and inelegant alibis at: Remington.write@gmail.com
Back to work and, oh what the hell, thank you again!
