New Book, New Stories (copy)

Hello, Readers All,

Thanks to the help of my Writing Buddy aka The Accountability Fairy I’ve been pretty consistent at the keyboard since joining the ranks of the unemployed six weeks ago. Aside from other fun stuff, I’ve gotten back in the Medium saddle as well as finally completing the configuration and publication of a new book of short stories.

This collection of twelve short stories (and some are very short indeed) is currently available as an e-book at Barnes & Noble as well as these other fine online booksellers:

I’ll be receiving notification later in the week about the print edition which will be available directly from me ($15 postage included) or possibly through B&N. Details as they emerge.

(Side note: Premium subscribers can expect a signed copy in their postal mail within weeks of the print edition being available)

While I didn’t get much actual “Writing” done this past week, I did have some fun with a couple of lighter pieces.

I also sent out one more publisher query. These folks have until the end of the year to make their move. If I don’t hear from anyone by December 31, I will publish “Graceless” myself on January 1, 2025.

At any rate, the glorious sunny weather of the past several weeks that inspired that piece has abandoned us and winter is making its move. Well, winter such as it is in these days of climate collapse. Rain and 39 degrees is about what we can expect, I fear.

What Autumn in New York is Like These Days

I did write another piece, but Buttondown’s being a bit temperamental tonight and I cannot get a proper preview of the piece to display. I’ll check in with Justin.

Sadly, this means that I can’t share the wonderful piece that AleXander rediscovered today as he was in the process of configuring a book of his own fiction to be published soon.

And can you believe I still have the stones to be pointing out the hat by the door? Oh, you betcha! And a profound thank you for all welcome coinage.

So, until we meet again next week (when I trust the preview issue will have been sorted out), all dastardly compliments and sweetly worded threats are welcome at: Remington.write

Back to work and a thousand sincere thank you’s!
