I Have A Question

Hello, Readers All,

It's not a rhetorical question or even some clever prompt to provide me with a story to tell (although that's a great idea!). My question is actually a request. Scroll to the bottom of this email. Do you see that modest little blue link that says: Sign up for a premium subscription?

That's it. If you do, let me know and if you don't, let me know.

Now, time to get to the juicy bits of the week. So far the new part-time job has not provided me with enough work to interfere with the good stuff (you know, writing). That is likely to change this week with several tutorial meetings scheduled - whose idea was this working-for-a-living thing anyway? - but for now let's just enjoy what we have, hmm?

Ok, so this wasn't enjoyable or anything, but that's never the question when I start in with one of these things.

History and The Beatles will only get you so far

Time for a good, long, drawn-out session of whining. Ready?

Shafted once again for doing the right thing at the right time.

Talk about the perfect segue!

But the important stuff is still important. Right?

As I continue to build a body of work over at Substack, I'm making sure no one here gets left out. And, since you asked - I heard you, somewhere in the back row - yes, I have set up a paid option there as well. Hey, if I don't ask I'll never know who can and wants to support my work this way, right? (And there as well as here will always have the free option)

And besides, I can't sue!

This week AleXander's contribution is one vast, glorious song. Chime right in!

Slide These Down Your Auditory Canal

There we are. Week Number Hundred and Something. Humble, blushing bow to the friend who was blown away that I kept the work coming even as I'm re-inventing myself as a wage slave. The hat's by the door and an even more humble thank you to those generous givers of coin. You know who you are!

Now, remember. Let me know if that link to the premium subscription is there or if it isn't. It's been a dodgy little sucker, sometimes appearing and other times vanishing.

And the other thing, as always, is to bundle up any stray ambitions or lusterless points of view and send them along to me at: Remington.write@gmail.com

I love 'em.

Until next week, the bowing and scraping will continue. You rock!
