So today was the last day to ride the NYC buses for free. Since March we've all boarded buses via the back door with the front of the bus safely plastic-shielded so more transit workers would hopefully survive. While the pandemic might not be over (to the tune of 40,000+ new infections daily in this country, thank you very much) clearly the Money is impatient to get moving again. I'll keep my mask firmly in place and avoid crowds. You?
In the meantime, we are barraged daily with "evidence" that the city is sliding back into the morass of the '70s and '80s. Are we really?
