It occurs to me that in all my navel-gazing and pondering my Purpose, I may have lost sight of how you’re doing. How TF ARE you doing, anyway? Not a rhetorical question either.
Once we establish how you’re doing, we can see how a particular busload of New Yorkers was doing last weekend.

Everyone’s favorite Eurasian Eagle-Owl went missing for a couple of days but the only people who noticed were the birders. We can all relax, however, because Flaco is back in his now-preferred digs near the Loch just past the Huddlestone Arch (look it up).

We share our limited real estate with — count ’em — eleven bankers’ boxes worth of Mail Art that my partner in life and art brought with him from Brooklyn and then Vermont and then Brooklyn to Harlem. These boxes represent a significant part of his life and output as an artist (two of those boxes are just his work alone).
My partner in life and art sends along this meditation on shoes, the subway, and people’s ideas of what looks good on their feet. Go figure.
