Getting by and getting on
Readers All,
How are things in your part of the forest these days? We’re slowly adjusting to our life of leisure knowing there are far worse things than being unemployed in the winter in New York City.
For example, if we find ourselves at loose ends after a hard day of writing (like we did this past Sunday), we can always go for a quick cruise on the Staten Island Ferry. And this is only one of countless things that are free or inexpensive to do in the city. Yeah, there are far worse things to be than unemployed in NYC.

In my brief 14 months or so of writing, publishing, and actively promoting my writing on Medium I’ve had the privilege of being added as a writer to several of the more popular and widely-read publications. Because nothing gets Medium readers’ attention more than an article about Medium I charted my course of publishing in these publications. It’s not all a bed of roses, let me tell you.

I’ve pondered recently whether having a handy garbage chute less than 20 steps from my apartment door is really a good thing, but I’m not ready to let it go. Here in New York, the city council has legislated that no more single-use plastic bags be available in most places of business starting March 1, 2020. This is me getting ready for that day:

And just a quick glance at the analytics for last week shows that 18 of you opened this email when it showed up and 3 of you clicked on something in the newsletter. Thank you!!!
Since we’re apparently not going to have an actual winter here in New York this year I think I need to go outdoors and save the writing, publishing, promoting for later.
As ever, feel free to shoot your thoughts, compliments or complaints to: Remington.Write@gmail.com
And, again, thanks for trudging along with me.
