Content Creation loses out to writing this week

Hello, Readers All,

This hobgoblin of consistency insists on showing up every Sunday evening regardless of that work there is (or is not) to share. Here’s what I did this week: Finished up the second chapter of this new whatever-it-is I’m writing. Here’s what I didn’t do: Created new content.

View through the Vanderbilt Gate in Central Park

I’ve hit a point where this story has to hit exit velocity and since I don’t know what that looks like yet, I’m taking the next week to get back to trying to find a publisher for “Graceless” and, what the hell, create some content.

Some things, however, are timeless.

People, Ya Worry Me. Random people doing random things… | by Remington Write | The Partnered Pen | Medium

Random people doing random things, randomly

For example:

The Coming Shock to American Consumers

Admit it. Much of the United States of America is spoiled rotten. Even those of us from working-class backgrounds who know what it’s like to have the gas or the lights or the telephone cut off because we didn’t (couldn’t?) pay the bill have still grown up surrounded by excessive amounts of everything.

In other news, we sat here the other night and enjoyed reliving our trip to Spain and Portugal back in early summer 2019, just before everything blew up and we had ourselves a pandemic. Good times.

Another heartfelt thank you for coinage in the hat (you know who you are).

That’s it. I expect the pickings will be fatter next week although anything could happen. If I wind up writing again during the week, well feel free to zip out some ferocious sneers along with at least two honest raspberries to: Remington.write@gmail.com

Am I going to get to work writing now? Hell, no. My partner in life and art is going to read some of Pynchon’s great “Mason & Dixon” out loud to me and then I’m calling it a day.

Your support keeps me going. Thank you!

RW
