Books, Beliefs, and Bamboozling (oh my)
Hello, Readers All,
Best news first: I got the print proof of “Graceless” and once I’ve approved it, the book will be available as a paperback.

As I flail about, peering around for some sense of direction as I let go of this book, I continue to (foolishly) publish this or that bit of flotsam to Medium.
Minor flotsam:
Dead Trees and Other Thoughts
Mortality at every turn

I had so long ago given up on Medium ever being a feasible place to attract new readers, find interesting writers, and pick up a bit of money that it’s no surprise that once again the guys in charge over there are trotting out the usual excuses for sharply declining earnings. I glanced at their latest meaningless mea culpa and this is all I have to say about the whole stupid mess.
I Gave Up on Medium Years Ago
Now I just write when I feel like it and support writers I know

Over the next week or so as I cast about for the mysterious new story that’s lurking behind my eyes, I’ll be beefing up my Substack presence as it’s unlikely that Medium is going to be worth the trouble going forward. Who knows, they might get it sorted out, but I won’t count on it.
And speaking of Substack, here’s an oldie but goodie as I work to bring things up to date there. Given we’ve got turnstile jumpers and illegal immigrants setting homeless people on fire on the subway, it seemed appropriate right now.

But it’ll do until that gets here
In addition to my new paperback, my partner in life and art also has a print proof to approve. Once he does, you’ll be able to purchase this new collection of metafiction and art that he recently published as a paperback as well.

There we are, Readers All, and my sincere appreciation for your eyes on the words. Hat’s by the door where more appreciation awaits any tossed coins.

I can gripe about Medium and its habit of continually pulling the rug from under our writerly little feet, but the reality is that most of you found me via Medium. So they get that tidbit of good karma.
The rest of the good karma, that goes to you! And always remember that any stray strings of consciousness and all deliberate attempts at seriousness are welcome at: Remington.write@gmail.com
To work!
