Big fat body o'work stacking up
Greetings, Readers All,
Big news: 26 readers clicked on stories last week after I cheerfully whined about only one reader clicking the week before. I may be on to something here (however, the fact that no one emailed demanding to know where this week’s newsletter was doesn’t bode well for my strategy).
I’ve begun checking out another venue for my writing: Vocal Media which pays per views (not much) but also allows me to publish work I’ve previously published elsewhere, such as on Medium. This is happy making.
Here’s one of my first pieces on Vocal and, yes, I realize I posted this piece from Medium last week. Sue me.

We all know we’re not supposed to do it but I do it all the time.
The nice thing about Vocal Media is that anyone’s views of my work count towards payment. You don’t need to subscribe.
As I was going back through my work on Medium to choose what to publish on Vocal I realized I have a TON of older work that shouldn’t be forgotten just because I published it six months ago or longer. So here’s some wonderful older work. Enjoy!

I mean the one I’m going to be one day
This short story was published in Takahe Literary Magazine in New Zealand making me (wait for it) an internationally published author! And, no, they didn’t pay me anything. To date it’s made something like $1.35 on Medium. Not bad for fiction.

Well, that was the last risk she was going to take. Quit while you’re ahead. Or, in this case, quit before all is lost.
And when in doubt about what to write, there’s always the NYC subway:

Speaking of NYC, AleXander’s piece this week is about the best slice of pizza in the city: Joe’s.

I remain in your debt for subscribing and reading. Time is finite and that you’d spend even a minute reading my work is humbling and makes me happy.
Isn’t it fun making me happy?
