Before it gets cold

Hello, Readers All,

Summer never is in a hurry to leave this part of the world and I’m ok with that. I may deeply dislike true New York summer heat, but this long slow slide into the colder weather is wonderful. It means we get our backsides out to enjoy what we can before the cold and rain and ice keep us indoors.

We’re aiming for a final jaunt up to the Bronx Botanical Gardens later this week, but last week we took ourselves down Broadway one night.

How was that not a good thing?

And just to keep everyone confused, we’re back to the recent past when I found myself enjoying eavesdropping on a conversation of which I understood not one word. Heavenly!

I think a short break from Our Hours is in order this week. We’re down to the final two collages in the project but we’ve both been called in other directions writing-wise. We’ll get back to the stories soon, however.

There you have it, Readers, another week in which I suddenly remember just as I’m thinking about going to bed that I have to get the newsletter out!

The hat is by the door should anyone feel compelled to give the poor writer a coin or two on their way out, having been so delightfully entertained. And many thanks to those who have generously left coins in the hat. Here’s the link to said hat and thanks:

As ever, feel free to toss unused compliments and not-yet-expired insults to me at: RemingtonWrite@gmail.com

Until next week, Readers, I humbly thank you,

RW
