Are we allowed to have spring without winter?
Hello, Readers All,
We're seeing daffodils and crocuses here in New York and, of course, our favorite: changing the clocks. So I guess that means it's spring, right?
What happened to winter? I feel cheated. Not one decent snowstorm. Not one. My inner Calvinist is not having it. I just can't appreciate the mild breezes and nodding grasses when that's what we've had for the past four months!
What I can appreciate is being offered a seat on a crowded subway. It's happening more often so I may as well just enjoy it and not get all twisted up about looking old. Who cares?

Here's another big fat Who Cares? Who cares if no one reads my fiction on Medium? I don't write fiction specifically with an eye to publishing it on Medium anyway! All the fiction I've published on Medium is work I've written over the years. Now that I've published all that, I'll trot out the omnibus piece like this one from time to time for those who might like to check out the shit I make up. Otherwise I'll stick to the essays which I can write, revise and publish in under three hours. Those are what get the readers anyway.
