All COVID, All The Time!
Hello, Readers All,
What are the numbers in your part of the forest? Locally, we're running between 2.5% and 4% which isn't enough to keep me out of the grocery stores but has me reconsidering the subway. I don't even think I need to explain what numbers, do I? I've begun pulling all my articles about our friend, the virus, into what one day will be a book (maybe) with cover art by AleXander, my partner, which is by far the coolest thing about the project so far.
Where was I?
Oh, right. What else? What TF else have we been droning on and on and on about since roughly the Ides of March 2020? I realized that two of the three new pieces I wrote this week are about, yes indeed, The Virus.
Let's start with our walk down 5th Ave week before last and me acting as if it's all safe to be just walking up to a police officer and asking a question.

Then I jumped into my Coronavirus costume for some snarky fun.

But we viruses can’t thank you enough!
However, I don't always writer about the virus. When I don't, though, I usually do write about New York City.

Moving to fiction, let's see what I got. Oooo, this looks like fun (consider the source).

Here's the blog itself:

Tempest-tossed In New York City
AleXander Hirka. Writer, visual artist, philosopher, autodidact, curmudgeon. A blog begun upon returning home to NYC in 2010, after two decades away. Observations focused on Brooklyn the first two years, then extending from a new home in Harlem to all of Manhattan and beyond ~ from right outside my door to deep inside my head. My stories (fiction and life), art, photography, and more. Come on in.
And here we are with the hat by the door and me being all humble and grateful for those amazing readers who continue to drop coins in it as they leave each week. $3 is just incredibly validating. Thank you!
https://ko-fi.com/remingtonwriteOk, you fabulous readers, that's it for this week. It's kind of a big deal that you're still reading what I send and that presumably you're not bored out of your gourd by it. Good job!
As ever, direct all indirect threats and unreliable narrations to me at: Remingtonwrite@gmail.com
Until next week, chow baby!
