Now that the curriculum/syllabus has dropped and the library finally put into context, you can now follow along, if you like. You can ditch the library, start your own, fit it into the Curriculum and guess what? The results will still be the same. The work will still be the same, you’re just working through your own material instead of mine.

There was a question about accountability.

It’s a good question to ask and one I think keeps things honest.

At the time, I gave a non-answer because in less than two days, that curriculum would drop and you could see it. If you read through that post, you’d have seen it right there at the end. What you have to produce at the end is one of those things on the end of that list. So, it solves much of the issue of accountability when you have to produce something.

If I write a book, that becomes a very public work. Same as this particular Substack. That’s a very public work. It’s open. Anyone can read it, restack it, comment, like, or just flat ignore whatever I produce.

That wouldn’t matter.

It’s public and it’s produced. It’s a result. It can’t be taken away.

Some of us will have a solo practice and we’ll never once need any more than maybe a Bible, A few books, maybe a devotional and we do our thing on holidays while claiming a belief and that’s perfectly valid. Some are just doing what they can when they can. Some of us will want to take it a bit more seriously and we will want to have something that we can measure in terms of progress but we won’t say a single word to the outside world about it, choosing to hold our happiness and confidence in displays of our competence at comprehending matters of the spirit as we’ve been guided. Again, a valid stance and admirable in my opinion.

Then you have people like me.

I’m looking at this purely from a beginner’s stand point. To the one that is standing in the dark with a single huge spotlight shining right down on top of them.

A practitioner putting their work, the results of their notes and their experiences down in a public setting such as this opens themselves up to everything from critique, analysis and discussion to abuse, it’s really a toss of the coin and sometimes, it’s all of the above.

That, in itself, can be a very valuable teaching tool. The answer to the age-old question becomes a part of the lesson plan and it’s simply to ask “What if war was declared and no one showed up?” This is why the MindCraft articles are among my most important with World of MindCraft being The Banishing Ritual for the mind.

This is where the practitioner begins to apply the concepts he or she learned from N.M.E., then Aurelius and then the practitioner’s own tradition. I also have methods for much deeper dives than that for tracing those triggers back to their source and dealing with them.

On the MindCraft front, that is for the practitioner to do on their own as a pre-requisite because the public work can come under fire via ad hominem attack and even the practitioner themselves but the practitioner understands one thing very clearly at all times: They Control Their Response or Whether or Not They Respond At All.

It really teaches in it’s first 90 days how to keep that project under wraps until it’s time to begin the work and start generating the results you can publicly display. The reason those results will have a better effect is because the practitioner now develops a different approach.

In terms of accountability, this is where the public element comes into play. There’s no centralized hierarchy to attend. There are only other solo practitioners offering voluntary support and discussion, which is what this very space is here to bring to this table of ours.

That doesn’t make you adherents or followers. Thou are not initiates (get OUT!) and thus, you’re not sworn to the same dogma that I am. Comparative studies is part of this. We’re here to find where we have common ground, not to approve of each other’s path, just to understand where we intersect and maybe try to figure out why together.

The accountability is in the discussion itself.

If I present a paper, citing sources, that’s something harder to assail than just some essay I put together. It’s something that’s posted publicly and it’s up for discussion. If something needs to be changed in my paper, I can make that change, cite the source after I’ve checked it and also cite the generous soul that pointed it out. If there’s synthesis, even better and the reason I’m doing it this way is because it came down to another question.

Aren’t you as sick and fucking tired of every difference between us being another reason to bubble ourselves to the point of suffocation?

Well, if you are then Magnussonhallir is for you.

Up until this point, I’ve been talking to the solo practitioners. The ones who never have been able to find a group to fit in with for any real given period of time but now I want to talk to every individual in every group.

I don’t care what group you’re a part of. I don’t even care how it views me.

I built this because I’m personally done chasing phantoms in the dark. At some point I realized that the difference between a student and a practitioner is not what they consume but more of a question of what they can produce.

I built this for you too.

As much as it’s gonna do for me and as much as I slapped this bad boy together for me, you can do it for you even if you’re a member of a Baptist church. You just fill yours with Christian texts and boom, baby, you have yourself a Seminary at home in a manner of speaking. You’ll deepen your faith in ways you never thought possible and, if the preacher is ever wrong, it won’t matter…because you will know by rote or by that feeling in your soul or both and you’ll be able to firmly lead your family, spiritually-speaking. In times of uncertainty, you’ll have that certainty in your faith.

You can even create your own Substack, doing the same thing I’m doing and as long as you pop that do that whole creative commons, share alike attribution thingy, well, we don’t have any issues at all. No problem at all with you coming over and doing some comparative studies and collabs. Happy to do that too. If you’re doing the work and showing the work and just putting that result down, that’s it. You get it. Get to it. Your spirit, your soul, those of your family…those are your responsibility. Own that.

You in some pagan group right now. Same thing applies. Look at The Library, look at yours, take the Curriculum and then, start plugging, playing and planning out your lessons. Show up to your group with hard facts. Boom. You’re not there to show off. You’re just proving you have a much deeper understanding of what you’re spiritually-connected to. Maybe what you have benefits them…or maybe it’s time to move on. Maybe neither of the two. That’s entirely possible. Maybe you become one who teaches within the group itself. You’re the educated one now, go educate.

That’s what this entire thing is built on, accountability.

What it teaches is discernment and the most important thing, responsibility. It’s in no way performative or dramatic, nor should it be.

The journaling aspect is all up to the practitioner but I present it as a means of gathering and examining data, both from rote and the experiential and attempting a synthesis of the two.

Next Saturday at 2pm EDT, The Magnusson Standard will be published that will codify a code of conduct that will be in place for any official Magnusson channels whether that’s on Substack, Telegram, etc, if there are any. If you’re interested in such a channel, let me know but, before that happens, we just gotta make sure there are some guidelines in place and, I would never ask anyone else to do anything I would not do myself.

All of it will have one aim, keep it about the work. That’s it.
