⏰ Last Chance for the Writing Retreat!
Free retreat option below, keep reading!
Hi writer,
Our writing retreat, Writing in the Junkyard, starts in a little more than 24 hours!
Have you been wanting to write but not writing, even when you promise yourself you will?
Do you need to find (or be reminded of) the writing tools that work for you in your specific life?
Have you been missing the fun and joy and ✨ sparkle ✨ in your writing?
BIG ONE: Have you been waiting until you have a bit more time to write?
Yes, I’d love to have you at the retreat, but the following applies to you even if you can’t come:
Truth for Every Writer #1:
You’ll never have more free time than you do right now. (Even if you’re about to be an empty nester or about to retire. I’m told this over and over — extra time never magically appears.) If this is the max time you’ll ever have, where will writing fit?
Truth for Every Writer #2:
No matter how much you learn and study and read, you’ll never feel “good enough” to write the words of your heart. (I used to wait for this. I really thought I’d get there someday.)
The only time you have to write is now, even if you can only fit it into the nooks and crannies of life (there’s an image, life as English muffin, words dripping like butter and honey through the holes…).
You’re a writer. (Non-writers would never read this far into an email about writing.)
That means you need to write. Rather counterintuitively, writing is the best way to become a better writer.
Maybe we’ll write together this weekend. 9 hours over 3 days — you’ll leave knowing what the next bit of writing road looks like in your journey.

Mini-Retreat Version
But if you can’t, for whatever reason, I’m opening a mini-group in my Slack channel for anyone who wants to give themselves a little challenge this weekend.
This is free — please join us by joining the group HERE. Come say hi and then join the Junkyard Challenge channel and tell us what you’d like to get done, even if that’s 5 minutes of writing. Seriously. 5 minutes is so much better than no minutes!
love and extra erasers,
Rachael
