January News:

  1. Congratulations to Michael Merriam, whose novella Terror at Tierra de Cobre was a finalist in the horror category at the inaugural Small Spec Book Awards!

  2. And congratulations to author Heather Rose Jones, whose novella The Language of Roses is a nominee in multiple categories for the Indie Ink Awards!

  3. We're going to have a 9th year birthday sale on our website from January 5th-11th! Buy a book or two and get entered in the prize drawing for a Queen of Swords Press mug and magnet — U.S. shipping only, alas, but we'll come up with something for our lovely international fans.

  4. We're participating in #SmallPitch this January! Got a polished manuscript that features an LGBTQ+ protagonist that might suit us or one of the other participating publishers? This could be for you!

  5. And the Astreiant Series ebook omnibus, The Complete Astreiant by Melissa Scott and Lisa A. Barnett, is now out and available! The Astreiant Series is also eligible for the Hugo Award for Best Series this year, if you're a voting member for Worldcon. Please buy the omnibus from us or Smashwords or other non-Amazon platforms, if you can, as Amazon is taking a huge cut of the cover price.
