Announcing QGCon's First Keynote
We are thrilled to announce our first keynote for QGCon 2025: Avery Alder!

Avery Alder is an award-winning tabletop role-playing game designer living in Amiskwaciy-wâskahikan (Treaty 6 territory). For the past nineteen years, Avery has been designing games that explore the intersections of queer identity, relationships, community, precarity, and the end of the world. Her work includes The Quiet Year, Monsterhearts, Dream Askew, Ribbon Drive, and Going For Broke. Her love of game design has also led her into teaching, workshop facilitation, and design consulting.
What makes Avery’s keynote for our 2025 return especially meaningful is that Avery was one of our planned keynotes for QGCon 2020. We are so excited to welcome her to Montreal!
