BIG BEAR is fully funded! WTF!
Hi y’all! This is a very rare Pat Wednesday but after we launched the campaign for BIG BEAR yesterday, it got fully funded for our $30k goal in 12 HOURS. In fact, we’re currently at nearly $42k in just 24 hours over on the Kickstarter page. What. Is. Going. On.
It won’t surprise you that I cried. Fuck it, I’m crying right now. I’m so deeply honored that you’ve chosen to trust in my vision to make this thing I care about. Being a creator is a lifelong journey in gathering the confidence to let the world know that what you do is worth championing—it has been for me, at least (shout out to all the people who feel like the voice of a generation for no reason, must be nice <3). Here I was the moment it happened, with Angela Giarratana and Emily Skeggs outside of a rehearsal for a pop punk Mamma Mia we’re putting up next Friday:
We’re working on stretch goals, because although this means that the show if officially ON, now comes the task of making it as good as it possibly can be and hiring talented professionals (while paying them what they deserve) who can elevate this thing—from the set, to the props, to the livestream itself.
