Loyola's CIF Southern Section Division I runner-up volleyball squad swept Clovis Buchanan on Tuesday evening at Leavey Gymnasium, 25-14, 26-24, 25-21.
Tonight at Leavey the Cubs host Oak Park in the semifinal round of the CIF State Southern California Division I Regional tournament. Oak Park handed Loyola its only loss of the regular season in the semifinals of the Best of the West Tournament early in the 2017 campaign. Oak Park defeated Carlsbad La Costa Canyon in five sets on Tuesday. The Cubs will be attempting to avenge their stunning upset loss to the Eagles in tonight's match. If Loyola emerges victorious, it will get another shot at CIF champion Corona Del Mar at Edison High School in Huntington Beach on Saturday in the Regional championship match.
