Loyola basketball falls to Washington Prep in overtime
On Wednesday, Loyola fell to talented Washington Prep in overtime, 58-52, in the the Beverly Hills Tournament, which is in its seventy-sixth year.  Cub guard RASHEED CLARKE's driving layup tied the score  at 47 with a second left on the clock in regulation. The setback dropped Loyola's record to 4-2.  The Cubs take on host school Beverly Hills tonight at 5:00 p.m.

Cub soccer loses to Brophy Prep on PK in San Clemente Tournament
Loyola's defending CIF Southern Section Division I champion varsity soccer squad lost to brother Jesuit school, Brophy Prep of Phoenix, in a first round match of the San Clemente Tournament which features some of the best prep squads in the nation.  Loyola tied the defensive battle at 1-1 late, but fell on penalty kicks. This afternoon the Cubs (3-0-1) will take on Cathedral for the bragging rights as to who is the current top team in Los Angeles..

Loyola sophomore and freshman soccer squads have combined 8-1 record
Loyola's JV soccer team is 3-0 with decisive victories over Artesia, 8-0; St. John Bosco, 3-1; and Long Beach Jordan, 4-1.  The sophs' next contest is against South Torrance in the Westside Tournament on December 13.

The Cub freshman are 5-1 with wins against Artesia, 7-0; St. John Bosco,1-0; Redondo, 4-0; Bishop Montgomery,5-1; and Crescenta Valley, 4-0.  Loyola suffered its lone loss to L.B. Jordan, 2-1, on Tuesday.
