Former Cub hoop standout scores 22 against USC in return to Los Angeles
Former Loyola basketball standout STONE GETTINGS '15, a 6-5, 234 lb. sophomore forward for the Big Red of Cornell, led the Ivy League hoop team with 22 points against USC at the Galen Center on Monday night. Gettings is Cornell's second leading scorer with a 13.1 points per game average. The Big Red gave the number 23-ranked Trojans all they could handle before bowing, 79-67,
Loyola JV basketball team wins Long Beach Millikan Tournament
Loyola's JV basketball team routed host team L.B. Millikan, 91-55, in the championship game of the Millikan Tournament on Saturday. The Cubs defeated Compton, 77-46, in the first round;, Lakewood, 64-43, in the quarterfinals; and Cantwell-Sacred Heart, 60-40, in the semifinals. The Cubs (8-2) play Mayfair in the Los Alamitos Tournament on December 26. Loyola's MASON BUTLER was the Millikan Tournament MVP and KHALI CLARKE earned All-Tournament honors.

Loyola lacrosse Academic All-American LUKE McKENNA, a defensive-midi for the Cubs' 2016 US Lacrosse Southern Section champion team, earned an early acceptance to Yale University.
