CUB FOOTBALL - Saturday’s game first step in league title race - Game to be live-streamed

TOMORROW NIGHT’S ANGELUS LEAGUE GAME IS FIRST ANGELUS LEAGUE TILT

Tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. at Pius X-St. Matthias in Downey Loyola will host longtime rival La Canada St. Francis in the first Angelus League game of the delayed 2020 season. The Golden Knights come in with a 2-1 non-league record, while the Cubs are 1-0 after an epic last minute, 28-24, come-from-behind triumph over Playa del Rey St. Bernard last Friday, after its first contest against Upland was canceled because of a positive COVID-19 test.

Loyola is currently ranked 25th in the state and 10th in the Southland by the Los Angeles Times. There is a lot on the line for the Cubs tomorrow evening.

Unfortunately, tickets were allotted only to players’ and coaches’ families.
