LOYOLA SUPPORTERS’ PRE-GAME GATHERING
Cub Football supporters will pre-game at 7 Regiones De Oaxaca located at 2648 W. Pico Blvd. 90006 on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in advance of Loyola’s big game against St. Paul. With a victory the Cubs would secure the Angelus League championship and a home game in the first round of the CIF Southern Section playoffs which commence on November 5.
The cost for a taco plate at 7 Regiones is $15.
Make plans to join the pre-game camaraderie tomorrow afternoon before the huge battle for the league crown in a rivalry that dates back forty-six years.
The programs first met at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 1975 in a showdown between teams that were both undefeated and at the top of the state rankings. Loyola defeated St. Paul, 14-13, in a dramatic thriller which earned the Cubs the CIF Southern Section AAAA title. A short time later, Loyola was named National High School Champion by the National Sports News Service.
