CUB FOOTBALL - Pre-game for parents’ and coaches’ families - Potential milestones tomorrow night
POTENTIAL MILESTONES AGAINST CRESPI TOMORROW NIGHT
With Loyola getting the green light after a positive COVID-19 halt of practice this week, here are some notable milestones which the Cubs can accomplish on Saturday evening in their final battle of the delayed “2020” campaign:
1-Loyola can secure its first outright league championship since 2000 (the Big Blue were co-champs in 2004);
2-Albeit just a four-game season, the Cubs could complete their first campaign without a loss since 1975 (46 years);
3-Based on Loyola’s CalPreps California state ranking (17th) as it stands today, with a dominant win on Saturday, the Cubs would likely end the season ranked ahead of every school in the Mission League (the league from which they were moved down to the Angelus League this year). How about that?
PRE-GAME FESTIVITIES
Loyola’s players’ and coaches’ families will be gathering at Bar Louie, a restaurant in Downey, tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 p.m. before the 7:00 p.m. contest against Crespi Carmelite, which will be for all the league marbles.
