Cub Football - More All-Star honors roll in - Former Cub lineman running for California State Assembly
LOYOLA PLAYERS GARNER MORE ACCOLADES
MaxPreps recently released its picks for the nation's Sophomore All-Americans, and Cub corner BRANDON LOCKHART was a first team honoree. LOCKHART, who is a USC commit, has a long list of impressive scholarship offers, including a recent one from Georgia.
CalHi Sports published its All-State Sophomore team selections. LOCHART made the first team. Inside linebacker RONEN ZAMORANO was named to the second team, and running back SEAN MORRIS made the third team.
CHAMP WESTBROOKS SHINED IN ALL-AMERICAN BOWL
Loyola senior offensive guard CHAMP WESTBROOKS played well against many of the nation's best players in the All-American Bowl which was held at the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio on January 6. The 2023 Angelus League Most Valuable Offensive Lineman and Loyola team MVP accepted a football scholarship to Arizona State.

CUB GRAD JOHN HARABEDIAN '00 IS RUNNING FOR CALIFORNIA STATE ASSEMBLY
Cub grad JOHN HARABEDIAN '00, a lineman on Loyola's 1999 football squad, is continuing his political career as a 41st District candidate for the State Assembly. Following his graduation from Loyola, John earned his undergraduate degree from Yale and law degree from Stanford University. He has served as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, and has held a number of political offices and appointments. On January 23 his supporters are holding an event at his campaign office (2000 Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91107) to support his run for the California State Assembly.
