2017 Cub Football schedule almost complete
The 2017 Loyola varsity football schedule is nearly complete.  The only slot that has not yet been filled is the zero week date of August 25.

Here is the 2017 schedule:(all games are on Friday at 7:00 p.m.) except for the first game:

2016 Loyola sophomore football awards
The Cub sophomore team had a very good 2016 campaign, finishing 8-2, and in second place in the tough seven-team Mission League..  

The following awards were presented at the team banquet:

Captain Awards:  MARCUS AGUILAR (OL/LB), COLE MILLER (OL/DL), SCOTT CASE (DL)

Defensive Excellence:  WILL KUPIEC (DE)

Offensive Excellence: HUNTER BALLARD (RB)

Most Valuable Special Teams Player:  NICHOLAS BARR-MIRA

2016 Loyola freshman football awards
The freshman team was much better than its 6-4 record.  A couple of losses came in the final seconds of games on successful desperation plays by opponents.  The future of Cub Football looks good with a solid group of excellent players moving up..   

The awards bestowed at the team banquet were as follows

Most Valuable Player Offense:  KEVIN PARADA (RB)

Most Valuable Player Defense:  CARTER LINK (LB)

Most Improved:  SAMUEL DOMINGUEZ (OL)

Coaches Award:  BARRET KELLY (OL/DL)
