Why Loyola?
Another in the long list of answers to the question posed by the parents of prospective student-athletes who are considering Loyola as their sons' high school destination came in an excellent  feature recently penned by Stanford Sports Assistant Director - Communications, Mark Soltau, about former Loyola All-Serra League kicker CONRAD UKROPINA '12, who is enrolled in graduate studies as a fifth year football player at one of the world's most esteemed universities.

Ukropina, a two-time Stanford University All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention kicker, holds the Cardinal record with 102 consecutive PAT conversions and has connected on 36 of 42 field goals as Stanford's starting kicker over the last two seasons heading into the Sun Bowl on December 30,  As part of his graduate thesis project Ukropina is doing ground breaking research designed to aid the homeless population . Soltau's article is well worth the read about yet another Loyola graduate who is uniquely successful not only on the field, but off it as well. The piece can be found at stanford_ftp.sidearmsports.com/feature/phenomenalfeet/

Do not be surprised if Ukropina becomes Loyola's latest NFL player next spring.

That is why Loyola.
