Palestinian Voices in Games - "Dreams on a Pillow" Crowdfunding!
Dreams on a Pillow, the new title by award-winning game designer Rasheed Abueideh (Liyla and the Shadows of War) has just launched its second fundraising campaign!
After securing over US$240,000 from more than 3,500 supporters at the end of 2024 in order to fund the pre-production of the game, Rasheed and his team are now looking to raise an additional US$400,000 to cover the full production of the title for its 2027 release on PC.
We encourage everyone in our network to support the campaign by donating what you can and by wishlisting the game on Steam.
About Dreams on a Pillow
Inspired by a Palestinian folk tale from the 1948 Nakba, Dreams on a Pillow is a pseudo-stealth, puzzle adventure game inspired by a Palestinian folktale about a young woman called Khadra. Forced to flee her home during the Nakba, Khadra carries with her a pillow she mistook for her baby. Throughout the game, players encounter untold stories from Palestinian history woven through Khadra’s dreams, nightmares and the harsh reality of finding refuge after being torn away from a home that no longer exists.
