Turning 32
It is past midnight in California. I have turned 32. My family is here on the West Coast for a few months.
These cookies were not for my birthday, though; my little brother asked me if I could do chocolate chip. I can do a great chocolate chip cookie.
This was the first time my cookies didn't melt into each other. That was a shocker. I'm glad they didn't, and it meant either the oven was the right temperature or I added the right amount of xanthan gum. The little victories do matter.
Each birthday, I always question myself. How far I've come, what I have and haven't accomplished. My mentor reassured me that's normal. We can't measure progress by looking forward and seeing more steps to go.
My family and I were traveling this week, so not as many links to share. With that said, I hope that you enjoy all of them. Should have a birthday blog up on Saturday on my personal site.
