Seattle, WorldCon, and the Cat Cafe

Okay, it’s been a few months. I apologize for that. July, August and the beginning of September were a whirlwind. Partly because I went to two different cons in consecutive months.
WorldCon was in Seattle, and a cat cafe was nearby. My friend Monty, another writer, and I went for a 45-min session with the cats. Some were friendly and came right over. Others curled into a ball and fell asleep, seemingly not responding to my petting them. I do wonder if my nerves scared some of them off, since I tried showing a few cat toys and none responded.
You can’t make cats like you. The same goes for people. All you can do is trust that you are worthy of liking. And it seems fitting given that WorldCon showcased the Hugo Awards with its ups and downs.
I also have a new column with Interstellar Flight Press! You can read it here.
