First Post! And Nebula Prep
Hello everyone! It is nice to meet you all. Happy Friday!
If you had told me a year ago that I would be adding a newsletter to my writing repertoire, I might have laughed.
"Where is the time? And what would I say?"
It turns out, I can say a little bit. For those who don't know me, my name is Priya Sridhar. I'm a speculative fiction writer, nerdy nonfiction writer, and copywriter trained in SEO. On Medium, I'm editor-in-chief and owner of the Permanent Nerd Network, a publication dedicated to media analysis. I also have published eight books, the most recent being Understudies from Hiraeth books.
My goal is to post every Friday, ideally, with any updates, and published writing for the week. Because I write a lot, it's hard for me to centralize my links. The newsletter will help me do that, and notify people about upcoming events.
Speaking of events, I'll be at the Nebulas in Anaheim next week, May 12-14! After volunteering remotely since 2020, I thought it was time for a change. When the schedule is officially up, I will upload it but here is the compressed version; I'm going to speak on a panel Sunday on Robin McKinley at 1:30 PM PST and sign autographs. I also plan to find the best donuts in Anaheim.
