Social Distancing With Sourdough
Social Distancing With Sourdough
I don’t know if you’ve heard, but bread making is hot like Hansel right now.
Lucky for me, I got in on the sourdough starter trend when we were still in the Before Times™ (thanks, Thomas!). So now I have lots of time to hone my craft and be super trendy on the socials.
Speaking of having time and being trendy, I’m also doing another round of #The100DayProject. And I’m making - insert drum roll here- zines! Some of them are even about making bread, like these:

What Has Me Curious Right Now
Why are some places so much better at social distancing than others?
South Carolina received an F.
We are really bad at this social distancing thing as a state. I have been involved in conversations that make me shake my head with how people are responding. Cancelled hair appointments seem like the real crisis to some.
Why is it that sometimes the only thing that makes us understand the severity of something is to experience it for ourselves? That isn’t sustainable when it comes to things trying to kill us.
What I’m Making This Week
- Smoked tofu (I decided last week that I just really wanted beans and bread so this got pushed to this week, it was quite good)
- Sauerkraut and White Bean Soup
- Focaccia
- Seeded Soda Bread
