Update to the Book Tour Update: The Return!

Hey, again, folks,

Wow, for a guy who brags about not cluttering your inbox with his newsletter, sure seems like a loooooooot of newsletters are going out this week, doesn’t it...?

Again, this one’s for the Portland, Oregon folks, or those of you who are Portland adjacent, or maybe just have friends in Portland who owe them favors. Also, yes, I’m specifying Portland, Oregon this time because the last update went out and I got a few New England folks saying “Wait, you’re going to be in Portland?!?”

Anyway...

We have a new Portland venue for the GOD’S JUNK DRAWER signing tour! Many, many thanks to Parallel Worlds Bookshop who agreed to help out even though this is very last minute. I’m going to be there at 6:00 on November 15th (same day) talking with comic book artist/ writer Riley Michael Parker. Please come by, say hi to both of us, ask questions, get books signed, it’s going to be great.

Also... I know I’ve mentioned preorders a lot. as you’ve probably heard, they’re very important for books, and physical preorders are doubly important. Maybe triply important. But they’re especially important in a case like this, where a small indie bookstore has agreed to do something last minute. It’d be helpful for me—and it’d be helpful and reassuring for Parallel Worlds—if you preorder a copy of GOD’S JUNK DRAWER through them in the next day or two. It makes sure you get a copy and it lets them get a better sense of how many copies they’re going to need for this down-to-the wire order they’re making. I know things are tight for a lot of folks these days, but if you can buy the book now instead of two weeks from now, that’d be great and they’d really appreciate it. So would I.

And honestly, this is true of pretty much everywhere on this little signing tour. Mysterious Galaxy. The Last Bookstore. Borderlands. Eureka Books. Brick & Mortar. Capital Books. Even Barnes & Noble. Give ‘em a call, get an order in sooner rather than later. It’s better for everyone.

Also-also... I know some of you may already have a preorder in with Powell’s. If that’s the case, don’t worry. Bring it, I’ll still sign it. If you can afford to buy something else at Parallel Worlds, that’d be very polite and classy. They’re doing all this for me and you, we should try to make sure it’s worth it for them.

Okay, that’s everything. Thanks again to all of you, and hopefully I’ll be seeing a bunch of you in about two weeks!
