OffGrid Sessions Speaker Announcement
Good afternoon everyone,
Programming for OffGrid Sessions is in full press and am excited to start to announce our first set of speakers:
Douglas Rushkoff - Team Human
A coup. We’ve asked Douglas every year since 2017 to see if he would come across from New York to talk at OffGrid and we’ve finally managed to bag him. As anyone will tell you, Douglas is one of the world’s great thinkers around technology and it's impact on people and society.
Jenny Kleeman - The Price of Life
The Radio 4 listeners amongst you will know Jenny from The Gift. Her previous work was described as “… like Louis Theroux channelling Margaret Atwood”.
Jenny will be coming to talk about the price of life and stories from philanthropists, judges, criminals and healthcare workers to find out what we are really worth.
Helen Lewis - The Genius Myth
You can tell what a society values by who it labels as a genius. You can also tell who it excludes, who it enables, and what it is prepared to tolerate.
From the Renaissance Florence of Leonardo da Vinci to the Floridian rocket launches of Elon Musk’s SpaceX, journalist and author, Helen Lewis unravels a word that we all use ― without really questioning what it means.
Adam Kucharski - Proof
He’s back!! Having spoken at our first ever OffGrid back in 2016, mathematician, statistician and epidemiologist, Adam will be coming back to talk about proof and how we establish fact from fiction.
Anne-Laure Le Cunff - Tiny Experiments
Neuroscientist and entrepreneur, Anne-Laure believes we are able to break free from limiting beliefs and harness the power of imperfection and apply curiosity to create a more meaningful and productive life.
It all starts with tiny experiments.
