In order to ensure that everyone who wishes to speak has a chance, we are asking that if your update takes more than 5 – 10 minutes, you give a summary during the meeting and a full version can be emailed to attendees after the event.

There is no requirement to speak if you don’t want to. People are welcome to just come and listen.

Mae’r prosiect Surveying the Waterway Environment for Pollution Threats (SWEPT) yn gweld bod angen pobl sy’n wyddonwyr i brofi lefelau nitradau a ffosffad mewn cyrsiau dŵr croyw. Mae angen gwirfoddolwyr i fonitro nentydd yr arfordir sy’n llifo i mewn i Fae Ceredigion. Gweler ynghlwm.

SWEPT: Callout for citizen scientists to test water quality

The Surveying the Waterway Environment for Pollution Threats (SWEPT) project sees citizen scientists testing nitrate and phosphate levels of freshwater watercourses. Volunteers are needed to monitor coastal streams flowing into Cardigan Bay SAC. See attached.

Eight-toothed Spruce Bark Beetle

If left uncontrolled, the beetle has the potential to cause significant damage to Britain’s spruce-based forestry and timber industries.

Ar 29 a 30 Hydref bydd crefftau Calan Gaeaf i blant gan ddefnyddio tatws wedi eu tynnu o’r darn tatws ym Mharc Fferm Ffantasi, Aberystwyth.

Naturewise Community Forest Garden - October

You are invited to the upcoming volunteer days, where they’ll be focusing on tree care, pond development, and expanding medicinal beds.

• Thursday 24^th 6:30-8:00pm - Brain storming session.

Nature Walk

A family-friendly walk along the river Rheidol, looking for birds, bumblebees, and late season butterflies. Friday 18th October 2pm. Meet at the back of Morrisons car park where it meets the cycle path.

Teifi Valley Trail

Two short walks to sample the Trail in the Upper Teifi Valley. Saturday 19^th October. See attached.

Low-Tech Mushroom Cultivation Course

Make and takeaway a bucket of oyster mushrooms, a shitake log and cardboard culture on Saturday 19^th October 10am-3pm in Boncath. £40-£60.

Potato Picking Week

On the 29^th and 30^th October there will be Halloween crafts for children using potatoes picked from the potato patch at Fantasy Farm, Aberystwyth.
