Dessert Auction!

Every year, at our last meeting before Thanksgiving, we put aside the usual agenda and come together for our favorite tradition—the dessert auction. Members bring their best baked treats, and we bid on them with all proceeds going to CURE Childhood Cancer.

We were grateful to hear from Holly Dutcher, CURE’s Executive Director, who shared the amazing ways they support local families navigating a child’s chronic illness. Diane Valentine also gave a heartfelt account of what CURE meant to her family when her son was diagnosed with leukemia.

We laughed, we cried, and of course we were thoroughly entertained by the one and only Bruce Chapman as our auctioneer. We bid against each other—and yes, sometimes even outbid ourselves—and in the end we raised $2,660! Another wonderful dessert auction is officially in the books. Thank you to everyone who took part. Enjoy your sweet treats, and have a very happy Thanksgiving!
