Marketing Minute: Sara Cousins

Sara’s marketing minute emphasized the importance of mutual support within a group or referral network. Drawing inspiration from celebrated figures who highlight gratitude and peer encouragement, she explained that actively uplifting one another - through referrals, mentorship, and celebrating wins - not only strengthens group trust and collaboration but also drives individual and collective success.

By fostering an environment of encouragement, everyone benefits from deeper connections, greater resilience, and expanded opportunities.

Darryl Powell’s journey into publishing began in 1993 when he created a mineral-themed coloring book for his young son, which unexpectedly found an audience beyond his home. Over time, he produced various books for the Tucson Mineral & Gem Society, adapting from traditional printing to digital processes that dramatically sped up production. As postage costs rose, he transitioned to more cost-effective methods and expanded his offerings, creating materials for local museums and organizations, both for advertising and sale.

Embracing advances like print-on-demand and platforms such as Amazon, Darryl now helps local authors self-publish their works in both print and Kindle formats, including hard covers. His primary motivation has shifted from profit to fostering encouragement and relationships, with many clients seeking to leave lasting legacies for family and friends rather than focusing on commercial success.
