Chris focused on phone scams, even those that appear to come from trusted companies like Verizon. He explained how scammers use tactics like spoofing numbers and sending fake two-factor authentication requests to access personal information, including Gmail and other accounts.A key takeaway was never giving out information or approving pop-ups just because the call looks legitimate.

Chris let us know that legit Verizon representatives won't take your credit card info over the phone. He also shared insights on why blocking numbers or using certain third-party apps isn't foolproof; scammers are constantly adapting and might even spoof numbers from people you know.
