So nice to hear that recently CURE was able to add Parent Advocate and Bereavement support people to their staff 🥳
Sammi Jo spoke of 4 areas of support CURE gives families
Emotional - lows & Highs: CURE has offered their resources to 25 newly diagnosed children already this year, while still being able to celebrate 9 end-of-treatment 🔔 ringing’s
Financial - parking vouchers, meals, petrol cards (that’s gasoline, checking that your are paying attention), rent/utility relief
Social - Parent only & family outings, Bereavement groups and Memory brick laying
Educational - so that children can rejoin their classmates at the appropriate grade level
