Registration open for 2025 Summer Camps

Registration is open for this year’s summer fencing camps. They’re a fast-paced, fun introduction to the sport — maybe you know some kids who want to try fencing?

Please pass along this information — we also have some handouts on the low wall, feel free to take and distribute.

New Mexico Fencing Foundation is offering day camps for ages 8–13 with or without previous experience. Learn the fundamentals of Olympic fencing from nationally certified fencing coaches, including footwork, bladework, safety, and competitions. Camp attendance is limited to 12. All special equipment will be provided.

Sessions: June 16–20; July 14–18; and July 28–August 1
Times: 10:00am–1:00pm
Location: 1306 Clark Road, Santa Fe
Cost: $300/week (10% sibling discount).
Register at www.gomotionapp.com/team/nmff/page/class-registration.

Equipment recommendations from German Fencing Gear

Jens and Leticia of German Fencing Gear put together a guide with some recommendations for fencing gear — shown in that graphic above, download a PDF here.

You can also browse their site and choose your gear there. If you have any questions about sizing or anything else, or want other recommendations, send Jens an email.

Please ensure your USA Fencing membership is current

Please make sure that your membership at usafencing.org is current — the club’s insurance requires that every fencer is a USA Fencing member, all that’s required is an Access Membership to fence at the club and at club competitions.

If this email winds up in your Promotions folder …

Gmail will often sort bulk emails into your “Promotions” tab.

To make sure NMFF’s emails arrive in your main inbox, drag the email from the “Promotions” tab to the “Primary” tab. You should get a prompt to “Do this for future messages …” and you should click “Yes.”

If you hear of others having this problem, please pass along this information.
