Competitors meeting Thursday, August 13

Meeting Thursday, August 13 for competitive fencers and parents

Coach Jorge would like to meet with parents and fencers who will be competing for the 2026–27 season.

We’re planning on Thursday, August 13 around the end of class at 5:30.

If you would like to attend the meeting but are unable at that time, send an email and we’ll see what we can work out.

Training in Amarillo August 15–16

Margaret R. De Long, Head Coach of Salle De Long Fencing in Amarillo, sent us an invitation to a Foil and Epee Pre-Season Training August 15 and 16.

They currently have seven competitive epee fencers who would greatly benefit from training with athletes from outside their area.

Detailed information regarding the schedule and registration is at the AskFred event page.

You can email her with any additional questions.

Join us early for Thursday open bouting

We’re encouraging our students and more experienced fencers to fence each other, so feel free to stop by earlier than 6:00 for open bouting. For a few weeks this summer, we’ve also got some fencers returning from college and beyond.
