Coach Jorge in the hospital

Details are still unclear, but Coach Jorge seems to have fallen sometime Thursday or Friday; his landlords found out on Saturday and had an ambulance take him to Christus St. Vincent.

It sounds like has a broken hip and is due for surgery today.

We’ve contacted his daughter Lil and she managed to speak with him yesterday. Did not get much more from her.

Jorge’s dog is with Liz for now.

We’ll send out more updates as we have them. There may be a hospital visit Monday during the camp break (see below).

Training camp continues Monday

We will still hold the training camp this week in preparation for Nationals. It will not be the camp Jorge was planning, but we want to offer fencers the opportunity to bout and train.

Currently it’s just planned for Monday, but fencers can discuss.

It will start at 10:00 am instead of 9:30.
