NCFF Youth Newsletter January 19th 2023
We're back this Sunday launching two new series for our students, in addition to that I need your help. Please read everything below to stay informed.
First off on Sunday morning we're jumping into the Book of Hebrews.
It's a challenging book to work through, but I'm really looking forward to diving in. If you're wondering why this book here's a brief answer: The book of Hebrews was written to three main audiences. Christians, those that knew Christ but were weren't committed to following him, and those that didn't know Christ. In my experience on any given Sunday I have a representative from each group in that youth room. Over the next several weeks they'll get to hear about a savior God who is supreme over all things and worthy of giving our live to.
Now as for Sunday nights we're going to continue a video series, this time we'll look at a series titled "Love in Chaos" by Bob Goff. If you don't know who Bob Goff is, I highly recommend checking out his book "Love Does". It isn't a theology textbook, but it a series of fun stories and excellent application points when it comes to our personal faith. The awesome thing about watching a video series from RightNowMedia is that you as a family have the option to watch these videos as well. This means on that car ride home you can challenge your students to see what they learned and engage in a conversation with them. These are only 10 min videos that are designed to spark a conversation, so I highly encourage you to join your students. For a link on the video click here, and if you don't have access to RightNowMedia, contact the front office and we'll get you plugged in for free.
Since we're back in full force on Sunday nights that means we're once again providing meal for our students (and volunteer helpers). So many of you have been so wonderful in helping in this regard and we're seeing the numbers of our youth group increase on a regular basis. We need 22 signups to get us to summer this year. If you can continue to help or share this link with anyone who might be interested in helping, it means the world to myself and these students. To sign up click here, or scan the QR code below.
Last but not least we're officially opening registrations for middle school camp at Tadmor for this summer. We'll be leaving on June 30th (Sunday) and coming back July 4th (Thursday). We should be back in plenty of time for people to enjoy the 4th by watching the beach explode. Spots are limited to 5 boys and 5 girls this year and it is first come first serve. Click here to register your student. If you're concerned about finances please reach out to me, we want your kid to come to camp no matter what.
OK that was a big one, thanks for making it all the way through. As a reward here's a picture of an Axe-o-lotol, which I have stickers of, if you find me this Sunday.
