From today until Christmas Eve, Montavilla Brew Works is a drop-off location for our friends at Rahab's Sisters! Rahab's creates community through radical hospitality with those marginalized by poverty, houselessness, sex work, violence and substance use. Their doors are open every Friday to anyone who identifies as a woman or gender nonconforming at the Saints Peter and Paul Episcopal Church on 82nd Avenue.
In years past, we've hosted events at the taproom in support of Rahab's, but this year things are a little different. However, we're not going to let the pandemic stop us from helping out our vulnerable neighbors and supporting our community. Please help us by dropping off the following items to MBW during our beer-to-go hours, Tuesday-Saturday 3pm-6pm:
- New Coats, Gloves and Hats (please no used clothing)
- Blankets
- Hand Warmers
- Hand Sanitizer
- Wound Care (Band-Aid, Gauze and the like)
Collected items will be donated directly to Rahab's Sisters and there is no obligation to purchase beer from MBW (although we won't stop you when you stop by!).
