It sure seems like winter just keeps on giving around here, so we canned up some more of our Strong Ale for ya! Old Montavillain is brewed with Scottish Golden Promise pale malt, a few specialty malts for a dark fruit dynamic and spicy German Amarillo hops for flavor.
After fermentation, we transferred the beer into Freeland Spirits whiskey barrels and there it sat for about three months. The barrels we used were from a "Private Reserve" selection and began as red wine barrels before being filled with American whiskey. This elegant beauty exhibits notes of dark fruit, red wine grapes, anise/licorice, oak and smooth, mellow whiskey! This beer ages very well, but is ready to drink now. 8% ABV - LIMITED CANS AVAILABLE ONLY AT THE TAPROOM!
