We're excited to release a brand new beer for y'all today! This beer was fermenting during Zwickelmania and some of you had the chance to try this beer as it was still fermenting. We thought it was special a couple weeks ago, but now fully conditioned, this beer is a stunner!
"Love and Reason" is a farmhouse-style ale fermented with four Norwegian "Kveik" (kuh-vike) yeast strains and dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand. Very fruity with aromas of lemongrass, straw, white peaches and white grapes.
To us, the two most interesting ingredients to this beer are the yeast and the dry hops. The yeast has it's origins in Norway (Northern Hemisphere) and the dry hops come from New Zealand (Southern Hemisphere). The name "Love and Reason" is lifted from a lyric by our brewers favorite Canadian Rock band, "Rush". The lyrics are from the song/album "Hemispheres" which tells an epic Greek mythology tale of love, tragedy, war, music and hope. We thought we'd tie this beer together with an apt reference from "Hemispheres" as a reminder that we always can use more Love and Reason.
On tap today at 3pm!
