As a Montavilla first, we're pulling the staff together for one big jam session! You usually see these guys making the beer, serving the beer and delivering the beer, but for one night only, they're making music together. Join us for a very special evening of live music as Head Brewer Michael is joined by Nick and Max - all of whom come from exciting musical backgrounds.
- Nick Humernay-Klaver has been teaching music for over 20 years and has fronted numerous funk, rock, R&B and soul bands in the Detroit area. He also teaches music at Ethos Music Center in North Portland while he's not slinging you beers at MBW.
- Michael Kora has been playing drums since the age of eight and studied Jazz Studies at Wayne State University (Detroit, MI), all while playing in every conceivable band he could get into: rock, reggae, metal, big band, country and symphonic orchestra to name a few!
- Max Stern comes from a very musical family (his Dad is still a top session drummer in the LA area) and has played guitar since high school. Max has performed in wedding bands as well as very successful funk and soul groups that have toured all around the Bay Area.
Join us this Saturday, August 27th for an evening of great music, awesome people and of course, great beer! Show starts at 6pm and goes until the fellas run out of material! No cover charge.
*We're also excited to welcome our very special friend Todd Dennis from East Glisan Pizza Lounge as our guest bartender for the night!
