It's the most wonderful time of the year for fresh hop beer! We're releasing our Fresh Hop version of "Flam Tap IPA" this Friday, 8/30, at 3pm.
Our flagship beer, "Flam Tap IPA" is a citrusy, piney hop bomb that utilizes 100% Centennial hops in the kettle and over 100 pounds of fresh Centennial hops from Goschie Farms, Inc. in Silverton, Oregon.
Beer History:
"Flam Tap" is an homage to our Head Brewer's former profession as a drummer in Detroit, Michigan. A "flam tap" is the name of the 22nd drum rudiment (exercise) that a drummer learns when reading music. Flam Tap IPA was the 22nd beer that was brewed at Montavilla Brew Works, so this beer's name came quite naturally. Cheers!
