This ain't no April Fool's joke! After a bit of a hiatus, two of our favorites are back and are fresher than ever.
"
Plywood Pilsner" is our German-style Pilsner, brewed in collaboration with the good folks at Mr. Plywood. This lager beer is brewed with 100% German pilsner malt, Oregon-grown Santiam hops and German lager yeast. The result is a straw-colored beauty with a light malt backbone and medium bitterness. It's medium-dry body & finish is balanced by a mild earthy hoppiness and delicate aromas of apricot and dried peaches. 5.2% ABV
"
Jerry Berry Sour" is our Marionberry Kettle Sour. What's a kettle sour, you ask? The name is derived from how the beer is actually produced. After conducting the mash (malt added to water to extract sugars = wort), the sweet wort is pumped to our brew kettle, cooled to about 110F and then inoculated with five gallons of
lactobacillus. The "lacto" then metabolizes sugars in the wort and produces lactic acid; which gives Jerry Berry it's characteristic "tart" flavor. The wort is then transferred to a fermenter with our house ale yeast and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown Marionberry puree is added. The result is a deliciously tart beer with a gorgeous pink hue and soft, delicate dark berry flavors and aromas. 5.2% ABV
Both beers are fresh on tap now. Cans coming soon! See you soon...Cheers!
