With the enormous success of our SNAP TO IT! event a few months back, we've stayed committed to giving back. This Thursday, January 29th from 3-9pm, we're giving you $1 off your first pint when you bring in 2 or more non-perishable food items. These items will be donated to our local food bank Mainspring Portland. And, as the need for these services continues to prove necessary, we will host more of these donation drives throughout the year.
Many of you have asked if these donations benefit our local neighbors in Montavilla and the answer is yes! No one is turned away and Mainspring is located at 3500 NE 82nd Avenue, just 2 miles north of MBW at NE Fremont.
Donations needed most include: cooking oil, rice, shelf-stable dairy products, peanut butter, canned meats/tuna fish and other canned foods. Please help us PACK THE PANTRY! 
LIVE MUSIC SUNDAY & OI! THE SAUSAGE POP-UP!
The Lone Fir Hot Club is back this Sunday, Feb 1st from 5-7pm with their Django-style jams! And our buddy Oi! The Sausage is back for a sausage pop-up from 4pm until he runs out. They use high-quality Carlton Farms sausages and cook to order, so get 'em while they're hot! Thank you for supporting live music and our local food vendors!
Not to bury the lede or anything, but we're stoked to announce our inaugural Montavilla Chili Cook-Off Invitational! This first iteration of our cook-off competition will feature 10 hand-picked chefs that will bring only their best chili masterpieces for your taste buds to savor.*
10 Chefs. 3 Grand Prizes. Voting open to the public (21+) from 4:30pm-7pm, Saturday February, 7th. Prizes awarded immediately following the vote count.
*competition chili recipes will include common food allergens, meat/veg/vegan recipes are determined solely by the respective chefs. More cook-off competitions are being planned for the new year, so stay tuned!
